A person's socio-cultural life is shaped by the outdoor experiences offered by their urban environment. However, as seen in the Karabağlar example, uncontrolled urban development fails to meet user expectations and transforms the boundaries between social groups into spatial segregation. As Habermas states, public spaces are areas of freedom where individuals, regardless of their identities, construct concepts of equality, rights, and justice through rational dialogue.

This project considers the interaction of experience, culture, and social structure with public open spaces as the main backbone of its design. Squares, parks, and open spaces are designed as free sharing spaces where city dwellers will meet each other, create a collective urban culture, and achieve social consensus.
