GRK ARCHITECTURE
GRK Architects is an architectural office founded in Istanbul in 2021 by architect Görkem Rabia Kanat Yıldız. It aims to create high-quality spaces of varying scales and typologies, interpreting their contexts correctly.
The office provides services in architectural design, implementation projects, interior design, and urban design. In recent years, it has primarily focused on industrial buildings, office buildings, and public buildings; residential and mixed-use projects are also among its areas of expertise.
Görkem Rabia Kanat Yıldız began her career with national architectural project competitions; she won two first prizes, one of which was built. This competition foundation still defines the office's design approach today: conceptual clarity and sensitivity to context.
In every project, the office's fundamental working method involves considering both technical requirements and design quality together. Close collaboration with structural engineers ensures the applicability of solutions in both new constructions and the conversion of existing buildings.

Founder
The office's founder, Görkem Rabia Kanat Yıldız, graduated from the Middle East Technical University Faculty of Architecture in 2010 and completed her master's degree at Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture in 2014. Following her graduation, she actively participated in design and implementation projects for various building types. She has won numerous awards in architectural project competitions.
Throughout his professional life, Kanat has served as a manager in numerous international projects; he has led design and project teams of various scales and typologies in different countries, primarily Turkey and Uzbekistan, but also Russia, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Somalia, and Macedonia. He has also been actively involved in academia; he has served as a part-time lecturer at Gebze Technical University and Yıldırım Beyazıt University.
Görkem Rabia Kanat Yıldız continues her professional work under the umbrella of GRK Architects, which she founded.
